In Loving Memory of Korderrian Sims Jr.

BESSEMER, Ala. — The Bessemer community is mourning the tragic loss of Korderrian Sims Jr., a local teenager who died after a late-night shooting over the weekend.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Korderrian Sims Jr. sustained multiple gunshot wounds during an assault that occurred around midnight Saturday on 28th Terrace South. He later died from his injuries.

Officials said additional details surrounding what led up to the shooting remain unclear. The Bessemer Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has classified the case as a homicide.

Korderrian is remembered by family, friends, classmates, and neighbors as a young life taken far too soon. His sudden passing has left loved ones and the Bessemer community grieving an unimaginable loss.
