In Loving Memory of Latrice Robinson

MARKSVILLE, La. — The Marksville community is mourning the tragic loss of Latrice Robinson, 44, who died in a head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 1 on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

According to the Louisiana State Police, Robinson was traveling southbound near Tyler Road when her 2015 Ford Focus crossed the centerline into the northbound lane while attempting to pass multiple vehicles. Her car collided head-on with a northbound 2016 Infiniti QX8, resulting in extensive damage to both vehicles. Robinson, who was properly restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries.

The driver and a passenger in the Infiniti were also restrained and suffered moderate injuries; both were transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released their current conditions. Routine toxicology tests were conducted, as is standard in fatal crashes, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. No charges have been announced at this time.
