BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The Bridgewater community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 55-year-old Lee Marie Hagerty, who died Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Pleasant Street (Route 104).
Bridgewater police and fire departments responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian at approximately 5:15 p.m., near the intersection of Scotland Boulevard. According to authorities, Hagerty was in the roadway when she was struck by a Honda CRV. She was transported from the scene by a Bridgewater Fire Department ambulance to Boston Medical Center – South in Brockton, where she was pronounced dead.
Hagerty was a beloved member of the Bridgewater community, remembered by family, friends, and neighbors for her warmth and presence. Her sudden passing has left a profound sense of loss among those who knew her.
The 63-year-old driver of the Honda CRV remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The Bridgewater Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, along with Bridgewater Police Detectives and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
