ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. — The community is mourning the loss of Lisa Powell Moore, 55, of Thomastown, who died following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. along Highway 19 in the Zama community. Emergency responders found Moore critically injured at the scene. She was transported by ambulance to the Baptist Attala Emergency Department, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Attala County Coroner Sam Bell confirmed her identity. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Moore was a cherished member of the Boswell Media team, the parent company of BreezyNews, Kicks96 News, and several local radio stations including Kicks 96.7, Cruisin 98.3, and Breezy 103.7. Her passing has left coworkers and the local media community grieving a respected and well-loved colleague.
