In Loving Memory of Miguel Sigala-Flores

WILLOWS, Calif. — The Willows community is mourning the tragic loss of 23-year-old Miguel Sigala-Flores, who died Tuesday evening in a fatal head-on collision on Highway 70 near Striplin Road in Sutter County.

According to the California Highway Patrol and the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, Sigala-Flores was driving a red Toyota Corolla northbound in the southbound lanes after making a U-turn, as confirmed by a witness and video evidence. His vehicle collided head-on with a white Volkswagen Tiguan. Sigala-Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Volkswagen sustained major injuries, while an infant passenger suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Rideout Hospital for treatment.

Authorities reported foggy conditions at the time of the crash, with visibility between 30 and 50 yards. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

As family, friends, and the community grieve, Miguel Sigala-Flores is remembered for the life he lived and the impact he had on those around him. His sudden and tragic passing has left a deep sense of loss, and the community extends its heartfelt condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
