Authorities confirmed that the vehicle involved, a white 2005 Nissan Altima, was being driven by Paige’s older sister, Kirah Kristine McClintock, 18. Kirah was located nearby and cooperated fully with investigators. Impairment does not appear to have been a factor in the incident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Paige and another sibling were pushing a rolling tool chest in the roadway when the vehicle struck the toolbox and Paige. Kirah had been following her sisters at a slow, walking pace when the collision occurred. The Nissan Altima has been seized under a search warrant for further examination.

Paige was a student at Albany Options School, known for her dedication and bright spirit. Her passing has left family, friends, classmates, and the community in deep sorrow. Greater Albany Public Schools (GAPS) will have counselors and support staff available when students return to help them cope with this tragedy.

The Albany Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Paige’s death and asks anyone with information to contact Sergeant Eric Tress at 541-917-7680, referencing APD Case Number 26-00274.

The community holds Paige’s family, friends, and all affected in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
