In Loving Memory of Robert Furches

JONESBORO, Ark. — The community is mourning the tragic loss of Robert Furches, 71, of Millington, Tennessee, a veteran truck driver who was killed in a devastating crash Wednesday morning in Jonesboro.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Jan. 14 at the intersection of CW Post Road and Moore Road, according to Arkansas State Police. Robert was traveling eastbound on CW Post Road while operating a 2023 Freightliner when his truck collided with a southbound 2020 Volvo driven by Dinh Linh Hong, 55, of Morrow, Georgia.

The impact of the crash was severe. Robert Furches sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Emergency responders rushed to the intersection, but despite their efforts, Robert could not be saved. The driver of the Volvo was involved in the crash and authorities have not released further information about injuries.

Investigators with the Arkansas State Police continue working to determine the exact cause of the collision as the intersection remained affected during the investigation.

Robert Furches is being remembered as a hardworking trucker whose life was devoted to the road and to providing for his family. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken as they grieve an irreplaceable loss.
