BLOOMFIELD, Conn. — The Bloomfield community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Sabria Hardy, 38, who died following a tragic crash on Interstate 91 South in Enfield.
According to Connecticut State Police, the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. Monday near Exit 46. Hardy had been involved in an earlier collision, and the vehicles were stopped in an undetermined lane of travel. While Hardy was inside an Acura at the scene, a southbound Jeep struck the vehicle from behind. She suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital, where she later passed away.
The driver of the Acura was treated for suspected minor injuries. The Jeep’s driver declined medical transport. Interstate 91 South near Exit 46 and the Exit 47 on-ramp were closed for several hours while authorities investigated. The roadway has since reopened.
Sabria Hardy’s passing has deeply affected Bloomfield, where she was known and loved. Her sudden death has left family, friends, and neighbors mourning a life lost far too soon. Those who knew her remember her as a kind and caring presence whose absence leaves a profound void in the community.
As the investigation continues, Connecticut State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-camera footage to contact Trooper First Class John Wilson at Troop H or via email at john.wilson@ct.gov.
Bloomfield holds Sabria Hardy’s family and loved ones close in thought and prayer during this time of unimaginable loss.
