In Loving Memory of Terry Nathan Hindman and Jaxon Raidor Hindman

OWASSO, Okla. — The Owasso community is grieving the tragic loss of Terry Nathan Hindman, 43, and his son, Jaxon Raidor Hindman, 18, both of Copan, who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 169 Saturday night.

Authorities said first responders were called to northbound Highway 169 near East 96th Street North around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a pickup truck on its side that had rolled multiple times, with both occupants ejected from the vehicle. Witnesses reported the truck had been driving erratically and swerving before leaving the roadway.

The victims were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Northbound Highway 169 was closed from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., with traffic diverted to East 86th Street North while crews worked the scene.

Owasso Police said the crash is under investigation, with officials working to determine the original cause of the incident. Lieutenant Nick Boatman noted that witnesses reported the vehicle made erratic movements before rolling. Authorities also handled a separate incident at the scene when a driver ignored barricades; Melinda Jane Coshatt, 70, of Oologah, was arrested for aggravated DUI.

The loss of Terry and Jaxon Hindman has left family, friends, and the Owasso community deeply saddened. Both are remembered as beloved members of their community, and thoughts and prayers remain with their loved ones during this devastating time.
