PICKENS, S.C. — The Pickens community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Timothy Evett, whose body was discovered Friday afternoon, January 16, 2026, in the area of C. David Stone Road.
According to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office, Chief Deputy Tommy M. Page was notified around 3:00 p.m. and arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. due to a high volume of emergency calls. Evett’s remains were recovered and confirmed to be that of an adult male.
Authorities from the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the City of Pickens Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Officials have not released additional details at this time.
