BESSEMER, Ala. — The community is mourning the tragic loss of Tyler Neil Alexander, 19, of Birmingham, who passed away Sunday night, January 18, 2026, following a fatal shooting at an Amazon fulfillment center in Bessemer.
Tyler was taken far too soon after sustaining gunshot wounds during an incident in the parking lot of the facility where he was employed. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passing has been ruled a homicide, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones are remembering Tyler as a young man with his whole life ahead of him. His death has left an indescribable void in the hearts of those who knew him, and the shock of his loss is being felt throughout the community.
