MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. — The Marshall County community is mourning the loss of Wesley Bolden, 29, who passed away Sunday following a tragic small plane crash near the Holly Springs–Marshall County Airport in northern Mississippi.
Investigators said the aircraft went down at approximately 5 p.m. just east of the runway near Greer Road. Bolden was one of two people killed in the crash. Authorities confirmed the second victim as 17-year-old Jordan Hall of Olive Branch.
The sudden loss of both victims has sent shockwaves through the region, with local officials and community leaders expressing heartfelt condolences to the families. Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams shared his sympathy for Hall’s family, emphasizing the profound impact of losing a young life and offering prayers and support during this difficult time.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Officials said the National Transportation Safety Board is assisting with the investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the fatal incident.
