In Loving Memory: Randall Hoffman

CHURUBUSCO, Ind. — A close-knit community is mourning the loss of Randall Hoffman, who died Saturday night following a tragic head-on crash in Churubusco.

According to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash occurred just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Liberty streets. Hoffman, a Churubusco resident, was driving northbound on Main Street when his vehicle crossed left of the center line for reasons that remain unknown.

Hoffman’s car collided head-on with another vehicle driven by Amanda Lindzy, also of Churubusco. First responders arrived on the scene at approximately 10:02 p.m., where Hoffman was pronounced dead.

Lindzy suffered injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Her condition has not been publicly released.

Authorities noted that road conditions at the time were hazardous due to ice and snow, which impacted travel throughout the area that evening. However, investigators have not determined whether weather conditions directly contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

Randall Hoffman’s passing has left family, friends, and neighbors grieving a sudden and heartbreaking loss. Community members have begun sharing condolences and memories as they remember his life and the impact he had on those around him.

As the investigation continues, loved ones are asking for privacy while they mourn and honor Hoffman’s memory. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
