LUMBERTON, N.C. — The Lumberton community is grieving the tragic loss of Jacari Clark, 24, of Lumberton, who was fatally shot on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Morgan Britt Park Apartments on NC 72 West.
According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 2:12 p.m. after Clark was brought to UNC Southeastern Medical Center suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Clark succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities say the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute, and the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Criminal Investigations Divisions are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
