A man has died after a late-night shooting in Norfolk on Thursday.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, officers were dispatched around 11:20 p.m. to the intersection of Picadilly Street and Wellington Street following reports of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they located Anthony J. Castro, 22, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, detectives have not released any information regarding potential suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.
