HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man early Wednesday morning in the city’s northside.
Officers were called just before 5 a.m. to the 7300 block of Jensen Drive following reports of gunshots. Multiple witnesses told authorities they heard the gunfire before discovering the victim.

According to a Houston Police Department detective, the man had been visiting a friend’s apartment when, for reasons still under investigation, he went out to the parking lot. After the shots were fired, the victim staggered back into the apartment, where he was found.
HPD said the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and working to determine a motive, while searching for the suspect responsible for the shooting.
