MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal construction accident in southwest Miami-Dade County as 55-year-old Osniel Rodriguez.
The incident occurred Tuesday morning at Rodriguez’s home in the 32200 block of Southwest 205th Avenue, just outside Homestead. According to reports, Rodriguez was struck by mechanical equipment while on the property, where he was reportedly working at the time. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews arrived around 10 a.m. and found Rodriguez deceased at the scene.
Rodriguez was the owner of Vazquez Concrete Finish Corporation and was working at his home when the accident occurred. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Rodriguez’s passing has left family, friends, and the local construction community grieving. Those who knew him remember a dedicated professional whose life was tragically cut short.
