RICHMOND, Ky. — It is with heavy hearts that the Richmond Police Department announces the passing of Nathan Branstutter, a Kentucky veteran who was found deceased Monday evening, just after 6:30 p.m. A previously issued Green Alert, notifying the public of his disappearance and potential danger, has been officially canceled.
Nathan, a dedicated veteran of the U.S. Military, was reported missing after family and friends expressed concern for his safety. Police and the community had worked tirelessly to locate him, utilizing the Green Alert system to bring awareness and assistance.
Richmond Police extended their heartfelt condolences to the Branstutter family and all who knew Nathan. “We are deeply grateful for Nathan’s service to our country, which allows us the freedom to serve and protect our local communities,” officials said.
