JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson police are investigating a shooting at the Grove Apartments on Grove Circle that left one person dead and another injured on February 12, 2026.
Authorities identified the victim who died as Glen Blackwell III. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The second victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical care at a nearby hospital.
According to Detective Tommie Brown of the Jackson Police Department, the suspects were described as five to six unknown men wearing masks who fled the scene. Investigators believe the shooting may have been related to a robbery.
