ROANOKE, Va. — The Roanoke Police Department is actively investigating a double homicide involving Khireem Porter and Jay Slay that occurred Sunday morning, February 8, 2026, in Northwest Roanoke.
Officers responded at approximately 9:18 a.m. to the 2000 block of Carroll Avenue NW after reports of two men found inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
