Tragic Argument in North Harris County Leaves Malcolm Lee Dead, Emily Seeman Charged

NORTH HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County authorities have released new details regarding the shooting that occurred overnight in the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road.

The victim has been identified as Malcolm Wayne Lee, 25. Responding deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) found Lee unresponsive from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Investigators determined that a possible suspect had fled the scene into a wooded area before deputies arrived. HCSO deputies, working with partner agencies, established a perimeter to locate the alleged shooter.

Emily Rose Seeman, 24, was subsequently identified as the suspect. HCSO Crime Scene Investigators and Homicide detectives conducted a follow-up investigation at the scene. Emily was charged with murder in connection with Lee’s death and has been booked into the Harris County Jail.

Authorities said Emily and Malcolm had been in a dating relationship prior to the shooting. Investigators learned that Lee had arrived at the location with his new girlfriend to visit a friend. Emily was already at the scene when an argument reportedly broke out between her and Lee, which ultimately led to the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to review evidence and interview witnesses.
