Tragic Loss: 60-Year-Old Pedestrian Roy Anthony Wolfe Dies After Being Struck in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Sioux City Police Department has identified the pedestrian who was tragically killed Monday night as Roy Anthony Wolfe, 60, of Sioux City.

According to authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 9:39 p.m. on February 9, 2026, in the 300 block of Hamilton Boulevard. Officers were called to the scene for a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Investigators reported that a 2007 Volvo SUV struck Wolfe while he was crossing the roadway in a wheelchair.

Wolfe was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital by Sioux City Fire Rescue, where he was pronounced deceased. Police say the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.

The Sioux City Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has video of the incident to contact their office to assist with the investigation.
