Two Men Killed, Two Others Injured in Northside Shooting

CINCINNATI — Two men were killed and two others were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning near a Northside bar, according to Cincinnati police.

Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 4000 block of Hamilton Avenue near the Spotlight Lounge. Upon arrival, police located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

All four victims were transported to UC Medical Center. Authorities confirmed that two of the victims died at the hospital, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the two men who were killed as Quiade Daniels, 23, and Vermonte Blair, 32.

Investigators say the shooting began as an altercation near the Spotlight Lounge. Two individuals have been detained, and two firearms were recovered at the scene. Police have not yet confirmed whether those detained or the weapons recovered are directly connected to the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
