Virginia Beach Teen Bella Morrill Killed in Head River Road Crash

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Tuesday morning on Head River Road.

At approximately 12:10 a.m., emergency services responded to the 3200 block of Head River Road after reports of a vehicle leaving the roadway. Officers arrived and located 17-year-old Bella Morrill, a front-seat passenger from Virginia Beach, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Preliminary reports indicate the vehicle was traveling westbound on Head River Road when it lost control and struck a tree.
