Woman Killed, Man Injured in Early Morning Columbus Shooting

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a tragic early morning shooting that left 28-year-old Lexus Antrom dead and a man injured in Columbus.

Columbus police were called to the 4500 block of Gardiner Drive, near Celia Drive, on Thursday morning for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Antrom suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office. Her body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur for an autopsy.

A man at the scene sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities have not released any information regarding a suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
